Education

Through presentations, workshops, and in-depth training, we aim to increase grief literacy in our communities. Whether you're part of a workplace, healthcare team, school, or simply looking to support someone in grief, our educational offerings are designed to equip you with knowledge, tools, and compassion.

Community Workshops and Presentations

Loss occurs and grief is the natural result. Too often in the past, and still today, we are asked to "get over" a loss quickly, return to work in a short period of time, and behave as if little or nothing has occurred. Neither employer nor employee wins in this model.

Our aim is to help everyone become more grief literate, destigmatizing grief and promoting the understanding that grief is normal.

We deliver half- and full-day workshops and 2-hour presentations to healthcare teams, emergency responders, senior care facility staff, and others. We offer similar programs to businesses and corporations and can tailor a workshop or presentation to staff of any size from 10 to 50. We also offer presentations to seniors, community centre groups, and schools.

For more information on how we might serve your group or organization, please fill out the request for information below and we'll be in touch.

Grief Education Workshop

This annual two-day, 12-hour workshop provides a comprehensive overview of loss, grief, and bereavement for those looking to support someone who's undergone a significant loss.

Designed for general audiences, it is particularly relevant for professionals in hospice, counselling, healthcare, and social services and is required for those interested in becoming a VGS facilitator.

Participants in this workshop will:
